Grey visit Holland!

At the end of September, our friends at Forbo invited us on a trip to Holland!

The 4 day excursion started with a trip to Forbo’s Coral and Marmoleum factories where we were able to see the process from start to finish. We were particularly fascinated by the process of Marmoleum - a 97% natural material which goes through an incredibly long journey before it reaches us. Starting off as linseed oil and ending up on our floors!

Our amazing Forbo tour guide and representative for the trip Sian, made sure that we got to see the best of Amsterdam after the factory tour. We were taken to Borneo Islands, located in the borough of Amsterdam-Oost, where they have successfully built a neighbourhood of floating houses - these were amazing and we all picked out which one we would happily live in! Saturday evening we were taken to dinner in style by boat. An extremely interesting architectural canal tour of parts of Amsterdam you wouldn’t usually see by foot. The boat then dropped us off at the Harbour Club, a restaurant also in Amsterdam-Oost. It was an incredible location for our last meal with the group.

Thanks so much to Forbo for taking us to Holland. We absolutely loved our time spent with you and we will never look at flooring the same way again!
